The participation of women in the workforce is one of the most crucial elements of economic development. Increased representation of women in the business world not only enhances their individual careers but also contributes to overall economic growth and development. Our experience spanning over 40 years indicates that more innovative solutions are produced in units where women are part of the workforce.
This issue is critical for achieving gender equality; the active involvement of women in the workforce, including roles such as truck driving, contributes to changing societal norms and creates a more inclusive social environment. The logistics sector can leverage this diversity to develop innovative and sustainable solutions.
Our company aims to implement the necessary governance mechanisms to support the career development of our female employees and maximize their potential. While we have nearly 50% female representation in departments such as land operations, air cargo, sea cargo, human resources, finance, sales, and marketing, this ratio is unfortunately lower in areas like warehouse operations, technical services, and fleet management.
To support the increased presence of women in the logistics sector, we welcome your views and suggestions. Please feel free to contact us at insankaynaklari@gokbora.com and info@gokbora.com.
